Re: 2012 Lincoln MKS / build date 7/2011. There is an open male ended - 2 pin? - connector coming off of the 14A005 main wiring harness (the 14A005 harness runs along the LH floor, the length of the car). This connector has a grey open ended male connector, but nothing is connected to it. Its like an unused power dongle, or whatever - what the heck is this thing? Is it for a feature which my car does not have?

I think i figured this out: its connector C3135, its open/exposed under the LH rear seat cushion - and its ready for the Saddle-type 20gal fuel tank; of which this was no longer an option. However, Ford may have had a run of available harnesses with this pigtail male connector, and chose to run them out of stock until the new harness came in? Or kept it to save money between the AWD 14A005 and the FWD 14A005 mains.
