Lock Warning

Security

Best Answer Waldo , 24 February 2015 - 11:11 AM

Leave the key in the car or don't fully close the driver's door.

This is a soon-to-be-regulated "safety" feature, there is no way to disable it.

I have a 2014 MKS. When the car is running and I exit the vehicle it beeps twice to remind drivers the car is still running. Is there a way to disable this feature? I have had push button start for 4 years and never left it running by accident. This feature is a little annoying since its the middle of winter, sub zero temps, here in Detroit. In the mornings I drop the kids off at daycare and want to leave the car running. Every morning it goes like this:

Open and close driver door  - beep beep

Open passenger door, retrieve kids bags, close door  - beep beep

Open rear passenger door, retrieve kid 1, close door - beep beep

Open rear drivers door, retrieve kid 2, close door - beep beep

STFU!

Any ideas?

Thanks
