While I'm certainly not trying to invite the 24" that's been forecasted, and we certainly haven't seen any more than the first dusting of what's headed our way, I've actually been looking forward to a nice snow front to give both my Flex AWD and MKS AWD a try in conditions that should make the presence of AWD felt.

I'm sure a lot can be attributed to the behemoth of mass both vehicles happen to be, but I have to say that my "first blush" impression of both vehicles this afternoon on unplowed roads with actual accumulation in sub-freezing temperatures is superb. I certainly wouldn't go aggressively attacking any bends; but that's now how I'd drive anyway. What I can say is that both vehicles feel remarkably surefooted and I'm very, very impressed so far. Today alone has made the extra $2K (per) and hauling around the extra 200 lbs absolutely worthwhile.
