According to dealer it was built 12/17. As of today the dealer has no idea where it is. To me that is unbelievable.

Your dealer should be able to run and print a tracking sheet. When I was politely but firmly pressing my dealer for updates, they provided me with a print out from a program called "dealer connection" with a link titled "vehicle visibility." It showed the history of when mine was built, where it went, the current status, etc. They could even tell me what town the train was in as it was trundling along the countryside on its way to me.

Mine was delayed due to a quality hold on the early cars and weeks went by after it was built with no movement at all. Yours should not be in that situation so keep the faith and if you want updates, ask them to run the vehicle tracking report. They have the VIN and they can do it.

Thanks. I'll give it a try.

Well, I finally got the MKS a week ago Friday. My wife fell in love with it and doesn't want me to drive it to work. So, it sits in the garage gathering dust. There is so much techology on or in the car that I am not sure I will ever learn everything. I have several hours of idle in the garage time playing with stuff. I am afraid I'll run down the battery just trying to figure everything out. My and my wife's phones are SYNC enabled, and I can play my iPod. Next I have to learn how to start the car.

Congratulations!! I am glad you finally got it! I, too, had a bit of a learning curve when I got mine but after a few hours of reading the sync/nav manual and just playing with the various capabilities, I found it to be extremely user-friendly. It really has exceeded my expectations in terms of being easy to use and logical.

The sync/nav manual is not the best I have ever seen. I have probably learned as much through trial and error (and syncmyride.com) as I have from the manual. These BON forums are great, too.

Now, get out there and drive!

Thanks, I'll try. Unfortunately or probably fortunately with commuting time I work about 50 hours/week. I love the car and since my LS had the Nav capability I am pretty sure I will eventually conquer. I am really anxious to try the park assist feature but I have to find some place where they still have parallel parking. That will be downtown somewhere.

I did it! This weekend I experimented with the parking assist. Having been an excellent parallel parker for the past 60 years, it was rather scary to turn the function over to somebody I don't even know (my new car). It reminded me of teaching my sons to drive and allowing them to make mistakes as a training tool. Anyway I can’t see the right front bumper and end of the fender and it sure looked like I was going to hit the car in front, but I resisted the grabbing the wheel and stepping on the brake. The MKS slipped into that parking place as slick as a whistle. Amazing, but a little nerve racking. I tried it again with a little less trepidation. I'm thrilled with the car.
