Will your dealer replace the DSP module? My dealer replaced the module within 3 days (free of charge), and I haven't experienced any other issues.

Additionally, the new DSP sound module produces more seperation between the front channels...or possibly the old module didn't work properly from the start

When you say "pull the seat toward you" I assume you are referring to the top of the back rest. Does it snap out or do you just pull it far enough to get the clips out?

I had the dealer perform the TSB for the parcel shelf and I didn't hear any improvement.

Thanks, Paul

Thanks...

I've been trying to figure out the headlamps all weekend...but to no avail. I have a "blow-out" diagram from my dearler, which shows screws under the bumper, but he says that the bumper does not have to be removed. I guess I try again next weekend :-(

Rear panel sub issues.....Please READ!

Okay, last time I was on here, I talked about removing the seat and installing insllation around the rear sub. After playing with the car all weekend...here's a better fix without removing the seat.

There are 3 plastic clips holding down the rear panel. 2 clips are on the passenger side, and 1 on the driver. Pull the seat towards you (it takes some strenghth) and remove the clips. Pull the rear panel up, and it appears as if you are ripping something, but you aren't....the rear shelf merely drops slightly behind the rear seat.

HERE"S THE BIG FIX FOR THE VIBRATION......tighten the screws around the sub. There are 4 screws holding the sub down, and none of them are tight! I tightened the screws and placed isallation over a metal bar the travels along the rear deck. The rear panel vibrates against that metal bar. NO MORE RATTLE :-) and the stereo truly sounds awesome now. I hope this helps all of you.

Now...don't forget to help me figure out removal of the oem head lights/bulbs

ANOTHER RADIO PROBLEM/ISSUE... this happened on my non-THX radio. It just stopped working (7,000 miles). After 2 1/2 hrs at the dealership they discovered it was a software problem where the Sync was not communicating. The fix was to pull fuse # 39 to reset the radio software. This is a known issue but your service department may not know about it because it has not been published. One other thing... getting to the fuse box in the MKS is not easy by any means. Don't know who chose the location but I hope you never have to change a fuse!!! Even the service tech bitched. :banghead:

How do you remove the the back seat? I tried pulling on it, pushing it from the inside of the trunk and nothing! I need to fix the rattle noise from the sub woofer because it's driving me crazy and the dealership keeps adding more and more padding, like thats suppose to fix the problem. Thank you.

The subwoofer buzz is a known issue. There is a TSB for this that is supposed to include readjustment of the fasteners that hold the subwoofer to the rear parcel shelf, in addition to the additional padding. I assume they are following the TSB in your case?

I guess so, but it’s still a temporary fix. I see from the inside of the trunk they added a bunch of padding. It sounded good when I left the dealership but after about a week, it sounds like !@#$% not a THX system. It's frustrating and I'm just tired of going back and forth....
